Happy Holidays to everyone!!! May Santa be very good to all of you & yours-except may he lay off on the lingerie gifts! LOL!  

Ladies, your contributions impact the direction of the Forum. You express what you are experiencing, feelings, fears and valid concerns. Together we share tools and skills to deal with our cross dressing husbands or ex’s.  The Forum is our safe haven-it is solely for CDW-and yes at times some CDH come on here- some for good intentions-others to share-and some just try to aggravate us but judging us and our decisions. Nonetheless it is for CD wives only and will remain so- it is our safe haven.

Years ago, this non profit, Cross Dressers Wives, created an additional forum on this same website called Bridges. It was specifically supposed to be (key words supposed to) be a safe place where CDW and CDH could RESPECTFULLY share their opinions, stories, tools, skills, experiences. It was left up for a few months but was more or less it turned into a boxing ring, with no winners and lots of bruises.

Some CDH are more likely to share with us some information that could be useful as long as we treat them with respect too. This is not US AGAINST THEM. The goal is to respectively exchange information- let us learn from each other…and may they learn what cross dressing can do to a marriage…

Topic of the Month:  Thanksgiving

 

 

Dee’s Corner…. Thanksgiving means many things to different people. The connotations of Thanksgiving are family get togethers, having a fabulous Turkey dinner, football games, but most of all it is a time to give thanks, have gratitude for what we have.

 

It is highly likely that your home might be disrupted by family members and out of town guests which can cause your CD husband to become very anxious- especially the ones who are used to frequently CD. You might notice he is growing more frustrated, anxious etc. Try to have a plan in place of how you are going to handle this as a couple or just a plan for your own sanctity.

 

I give thanks to all of you. Though we may have our differences, I love each and every one of you in a special way. May you have a nice holiday! Happy Thanksgiving!

A psychological scientific journal article is going to disclose the results of our survey, conducted by Dr. Richard Docter and Dee A Levy, MA.

 

Over the past year nearly 300 wives of cross dressers have completed this survey, 

making it the largest group ever to participate in a wives study of this kind. Thanks 

to each of you! If you have not responded to Questionnaire II please do so, and be sure to respond to all of the questions. We are starting to analyze the survey data and the results will be made available on this web site. 

 

Additionally, a more formal report will be submitted to one of the scientific journals concerned with transgender studies, such as the International Journal of Transgenderism or the Archives of Sexual Behavior. The main focus of additional research will involve asking wives in more detail about how they are coping 

with cross dressing. Of course, we'll be inviting each of you to join us in these on-going research projects.

TOPIC: GET OUT TH FIRST TIME

There are many forms of abuse- emotional, psychological and physical abuse. All are harmful, destructive and some are illegal. It is important to know the difference.

 

When his cross dressing becomes more than just ‘dressing up’ and your CD partner is now becoming violent-GET OUT!  Do not wait for anything else to happen. DOMESTIC VILONCE IS ILLEGAL. Call the police-do not hesitates if you are ever being threatened-take those threats seriously. If he hits you once-that should be the LAST time. There is NO TOLERANCE for physical violence-against you and some even hurt your children and even beloved pets to use that as a threat against you.

 

If your CD partner is threatening you-you children or your animals- you need to immediately take action: 911. Get protective orders- some wives have to get them for themselves and their animals!! It is bad enough with what too many CDW/partners put up with.  This is where it has to end.

 

Must draw the line in the sand…physical violence can only happen one time-and then- he is out! Let him get the help he needs behind bars. Under NO circumstances should any of you be living in this situation and I know too many of you are. Please, I beg you to love yourselves enough to know-staying with an abuser is only going to get progressively worse. Your life, health and well-being should never be endangered because of the man that married -who promised to protect you and love you is now a violent offender and you are his target.

 

For those that this applies to –get protective orders- seeks out help right away. This is 100% unacceptable and don’t stay because of your kids-get them out of this situation. Ask for help! Contact a lawyer-tell your friends. Let everyone know he is a danger to you. Love yourself to know- you and your children and pets deserve a better life, one without any form of abuse.  You are all worthy of peace, love and happiness- not crazy making.

 

It is heart wrenching to think that some CDH are beating their wives…and they are protecting the abuser- instead of themselves. We know you are out there-it is OK to tell, once you tell-things can and will change.

 

Our hearts and prayers are going out to all the CDW who are also experiencing domestic violence. Please contact local police, women’s shelters, contact Tim our family CD advisor, the infamous Dorothy Hayden or me.

Tim’s corner…

Ladies I am sorry I have been absent from the newsletter the last few months. I have been busy with so many of wives like you.

The one thing I noticed and is a recurring theme is that no matter what -if you stay or leave that this still haunts so many. I work very hard to help these women to find a place that they are not so consumed with grief and Hurt. I can say that I have had success with many and not with my words with there's. As for the husbands I don't believe like many on the site that these men a doomed to a life of cross dressing. I have several that have stopped!!!! Now most will say how do I know and I don't but I have seen a change in attitude and so have their wives. I tell them they can fool everyone but themselves.

 

They are the ones that have to look in the mirror everyday and see themselves. The want to stop is the key if you love your wife and kids and want to be free they can, but most of all they need to love themselves. Cross dressing will take it's toll on them a slow processes but it will eat them up. I have had great success with digging into the past and helping them see clearly why they think and do what they do. Welcome! Hope you are all taking good care of yourselves. Find time everyday to love you. Take a long bath, read a great book, do yoga, take a walk, do something you enjoy. It is vital for you.

 

On another note, things are moving very quickly-and please know I have reason to believe we have a GREAT chance of having a show about our real lives on air in a matter of months! This is our chance to open up and tell the truth about our lives (good, bad and everything in between). Anyone who is interested-please get hold of me a.s.a.p. at cdwives@gmail.com.

 

Ladies, for years so many producers have approached us, TV companies, networks etc. to come out and tell our stories. I have stayed away from anyone who I thought might want to exploit us. Finally highly credible phenomenal award winning producers came into my life; we are working diligently to find other CDW wives/partners and CDH/partner to come out and share their stories-without showing their ‘true’ identity. So many women have said, “I want to tell my story.”

 

Ladies…everything happens for a reason. Did you choose to marry/live with a cross dresser? 70% of you did not get the choice. So many of us ask, Why Me? Because everything happens for a reason.

 

Maybe your reason was to become stronger. And perhaps by telling your story you can heal, as you help others by disclosing your secret and letting other cross dressers wives know they are no longer alone. You can use your life to make a positive difference all over the globe.

Why CD's Are So Attracted to She/Male Pornography? 

 

•   The fantasy of being a beautiful woman is what drives all CD behavior. Dressing is one way of achieving that. Another is the fantasy (or actuality) of being penetrated like a woman is penetrated.

•   A she/male (the politically correct term is “T-girl”) brings together the disparate parts of the CD's personality, the CD being a person with a personality divided.

•   The CD has a need to disavow what's known to be true; that there are differences in males and females. Connection to an unreal vision fortifies that disavowal.

•   The CD identifies clothing as a primary turn-on and seeks the penis as a way to concretize his desire to experience what women experience. He does not identify with the person of the T-girl as a turn-on, and therefore is not a homosexual. A gay man doesn't want a man who dresses like a woman; he wants a total man.

•   The T-girl's penis is a symbol of the father's masculinity, which may have been denied to the CD.

•   The sexual excitement of “forbidden fruit” transforms unwanted feelings.

•   To the CD, the T-girl is a god-like being – expansive, alive, excited and exciting, beautiful, desirable, spellbinding, powerful, compelling and unforgettable. To be desired by such an idealized illusion relieves feelings of being depleted and enfeebled in his masculine identity.

Ladies we have been approached again by well known, highly reputable, award- winning TV Producers to come forward and tell our stories.  They are looking for trailblazers, 

Cross Dresssing husbands and their wives to reveal their unique experiences. 

We are not being pursued by a “Jerry Springer show’- I have ignored ALL requests 

such as that.

Instead it is a much more of a dignified setting, with counselors, etc. Idealistically, we 

are looking for couples in the LA area to do a sizzling reel-that will only be seen by TV executives. However, please notify us if you are interested and live outside LA. It will 

never be shown to the public. Please let me know if you are interested. Yes, we are 

also looking for Cross Dressers Wives (CDW) – ex’s too- to share their stories.

not going to ‘cure’ your husband’s CD but he manages to get a lot of them to 

understand what you are going through, which ultimately helps you too.  We think 

he should write a book for cross dressers- just about his experiences working in

Dismayed that your CD husband started dressing again after months or 

years of abstinence?

It's understandable that what you thought was an issue he had left behind him has 

re-appeared.  You feel discouraged, dismayed and angry.

The fact is, therapists, psychoanalysts and medical doctors have tried a great number 

of treatments for CD and, as far as I know, there has not been one documented case 

of a man being “cured” of it for the rest of his life.  Some clinicians have claimed 

cure but have not followed up to see if the “cure” remained.

Since cross-dressing is no longer seen as a disease or a psychopathology, there 

can be no “cure”.  With therapy a CD can learn to modulate his impulses to some 

degree, but the desire always remains.  When he is going through stress or 

emotional upheaval, there's a good chance that he's return to what makes 

him feel safe and secure – and that's dressing.

Trying to “cure” cross-dressing is like trying to cure homosexuality.  Perhaps some combination of pre-natal “androgens”, unbalanced in the mother's womb, together

 with a maternal figure that was either too enmeshed or too distant explains the phenomenon.  Either way, therapists now see CD as a life-long condition.

If a person is an alcoholic, he/she can either be active or sober, but an alcoholic 

he remains.  Also like addiction, it is prone to relapse.

If your husband has returned to dressing after a period of staying “dry”, then 

something is probably going on with him emotionally and a wise way to 

proceed is to try to have understanding and empathy for what that is.

Additionally, a more formal report will be submitted to one of the scientific journals concerned with transgender studies, such as the International Journal of 

Transgenderism or the Archives of Sexual Behavior. The main focus of additional 

research will involve asking wives in more detail about how they are coping 

with cross dressing. Of course, we'll be inviting each of you to join us in these 

on-going research projects.
